Plot Review:
Rose begins the book by reading the final love letter and death threat from Dimitri.She decides to stay focused and pass the final exams to the best of her ability, hoping that will be enough for her to be assigned to Lissa, which begin shortly.Her teachers put her to the test by trapping her on a swinging bridge with Strigoi approaching from both sides.
She cuts the bridge and “kills” the opponents on her side to escape.Rose conspires with Lissa and Eddie to free Victor Dashkov from his high-security vampire prison after Abe’s network relayed a message from him that Victor Dashkov could not be bribed.
By posing as guardians and bringing in new feeders while heavily relying on Lissa’s compulsion powers, they are able to accomplish this successfully.Victor agrees to direct them to Robert, a solitary spirit user who is said to have once restored a Strigoi to their original form.
