Plot Review:

Lestat emerges from the ground in the 1980s after a decade-long slumber and is awoken by the Rock and Roll band “Satan’s night out.” They believe him when he tells them he is a vampire because Interview with the Vampire is a book in this universe. He then decides to reveal vampires to humans and become a rock star. But first, he decides to write an autobiography, which is what most of the book is about.

In the beginning of his fictional autobiography, he kills a pack of wolves as an impoverished noble in the Auvergne countryside in the 18th century. His mother encourages him to see Nicolas de Lenfent, a violinist who has been to Paris, and informs him that she will soon pass away. They fall in love after he does this.
